House Of Alva
Our luxurious artisanal ultra-soft silk cotton, hand block printed scarves have been made with immense love and patience in Bagru, Rajasthan. These large scarves showcase the 400 year old block printing techniques still used by 4th generation block printing artisans in remote corners of Bagru. The scarves used eco-friendly and non-toxic pigments, and vegetable dyes. The blocks are hand carved by wood carving masters from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Please note that each scarf is dyed and printed individually by hand and may have minor inconsistencies and color differences, which cannot be avoided when crafting this hand-made beauty.
Our gorgeous Diamond Tile block printed scarf is designed after the game of chess, also known as "Shataranj" in India. Royalty built giant chess boards in their yards, made with large tiles and staged the game for decor and play! The scarf was made using 100% vegetable dyes and uses discharge techniques to bring out the coral contrast.
This ultra-soft scarf catches the lovely shades of gray, coral and black and is perfect for all seasons. You can also use the scarf as a sarong - a versatile scarf indeed!
