House Of Alva
Our luxurious artisanal ultra-soft silk cotton, hand block printed scarves have been made with immense love and patience in Bagru, Rajasthan. These large scarves showcase the 400 year old block printing techniques still used by 4th generation block printing artisans in remote corners of Bagru. The scarves used eco-friendly and non-toxic pigments, and vegetable dyes. The blocks are hand carved by wood carving masters from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Please note that each scarf is dyed and printed individually by hand and may have minor inconsistencies and color differences, which cannot be avoided when crafting this hand-made beauty.
Our gorgeous Flower Petal block printed scarf in inspired by the Rangoli designs often seen in India during the festive season. The scarf is made by first block printing the patterns using the dabu (mud-resist) technique. The scarves are then dip dyed in 10 feet deep indigo vats. Made with 100% natural dyes used in Bagru for generations.
The unique colors printed on the natural silk-cotton fabric are perfect for all seasons. You can also use the scarf as a sarong - a versatile scarf indeed!
